We’re just over a week in to 2010 and everyone at Membee is already getting excited about what we will be delivering to our valued customers this year! To start off the year, we have two important items to tell you about. One is a reminder about something you may have already seen, and the other is exciting new announcement regarding integrated email capabilities in Membee!


Free Training Webinars Start Today!

Excitement is in the air at Membee as we hold our first live training webinar today! This webinar is first part of a new 12-part live webinar series that will be delivered over a period of approximately one month. We intend to repeat the sessions each month, so if you miss a session, there will be another available in about a month that you can register for.

We anticipate that we will grow and change the composition of the seminar series as we gather feedback, but we’re committed to at least 3 rounds in the present format to get us started.

The webinars will be delivered live by a Membee Training Specialist, who will also answer as many attendee questions as possible at the end of live the session within the 1-hour format of the webinar.

After our original announcement of the webinars in the Beeline newsletter, hundreds of people have already registered for the first round of sessions and as a result, all of them have reached the full capacity of our webinar system. The second and third rounds of sessions are available for registration right now, and space is still available in each of those rounds.

Integrated Email – Coming to Membee in Spring 2010!

It is with great pleasure that I announce today an exciting new feature upgrade to Membee that is targeted for release at the beginning of Q2 of 2010. Our development team is currently building a new fully integrated email function into Membee! This new functionality will essentially allow you to send an email directly from within Membee without needing to run any reports or open up your copy of Outlook (or your preferred email client).

Some of the planned features include:

  • Start composing an email with a single click in Membee – from a person or organization record or from a group, committee or event attendee list.
  • Write and format your entire email in Membee and do it from anywhere – at the office, at home or on the road.
  • Send emails to an individual person, a group, a committee or to all attendees of a specific event.
  • Personalize each message by including merge variables in your email (like first name, last name, employer name, etc.).
  • Add individual recipients to any message – for example, send a copy of the message to your boss.
  • Remove recipients from receiving a message – for example, remove one of your committee members from one particular email.

We will be releasing more information about this new function near the end of this month, as a part of a series of blog posts that describe how Membee can be used to easily send all kinds of emails to individuals and groups. Watch for the first part of that series next week.

We are SO excited to have the integrated email function back!! 2 Suggestions – 1. When we make a reservation for a member to attend an event – you click invoice and it is posted. It would be GREAT if there was an option on that same page to view that invoice in a PDF, so that you could immediately print it. Right now, you have to go to “Invoice Events” and input the company name all over again, etc. 2. Please make it possible for members to pay and join online. Even if we had to go into the… Read more »
