One of the many challenges faced by membership-based organizations is the ongoing maintenance of member records. Membee’s Profile Update is a perfect solution because it gives your members the ability to maintain their own record.
Verification of Member information – Then and Now
Learning from the experience of others is always valuable so we asked a client who is currently using the Profile to share their observations with us:
Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce
The Lawrence County, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce just implemented the Profile as part of an update to their website. Lawrence County is located in the Southern Middle Tennessee Valley about an hour away from Nashville.
We spoke to Beth Keaton, Director of Membership to see how things have been going with the launch of the enhanced Profile.
What prompted you to implement the Profile?
It is the result of our local Executive Director and Board realizing that we could do more for our members. We are always asking ourselves, “What more can we can offer in the way of member benefits".
“We try to offer as many benefits to our members as possible.”
How has the online Profile been received?
We just demonstrated the Profile page and login at our Board Meeting. All of the board members were very excited. They like the look of the new profile and we are happy with how smooth our transition to Membee has been.
What was your process in the past?
“Now information will be current – not just updated every 2 years.”
|We have a printed membership directory that we update every 2 years. When it was time to publish the directory we would either call or email the members to ask them to check their listing in the current print directory to make sure that the information we had on file for them was correct. Then they had to send us any updates. We would wait for them to email or call in the change and we would enter the information.|
Thank you Beth, for your insight!
