Coming Next Monday! As of Monday, March 19, 2012 Membee will officially support access using the Firefox browser. Your members have always enjoyed this capability, but now it is coming to you as a Membee Association Staff user.
The coming update allows you to choose which browser you wish to use and saves time by reducing the number of browser set up steps required. Now you can use Membee with the newest versions of IE and Firefox “right out of the box” since the update gets rid of most of the requirements for special settings.
We have been running Membee in Firefox in our test environments for a few weeks and are happy to say that the Bee plays nicely with the Fox. (Great idea for a Disney movie!)
Monday’s update will result in a small settings change for existing IE users who may need to make a quick change to turn off “compatibility mode” for Membee. Watch for more information about the settings changes in Membee’s Alert Bar at the top of the Membee screen when you log in on Monday, March 19, 2012.
We are pleased to support newer browsers because it gives us the opportunity to offer you more and better functionality in Membee. The latest versions of the major browsers have become more standards compliant and, as a result, it has become easier and more cost effective for us to support multiple browsers.
AND we aren’t finished yet! Watch for more iAnnouncements in the coming weeks!
