We are BEEsily working on enhancing our events module and you will see changes to Events being rolled out in phases over the coming months. The first phase of events enhancements is slated for release early this fall. We are starting where the events start with the internal administrative setup and we plan on making the job of the Event Administrator a snap.
Be prepared for a lengthy blog post because we are excited to announce a long list of improvements.
Event Level Settings
At the Event Level settings you will see quite a few changes. The familiar settings are all there along with a few new ones but the look and feel have changed to make setting up or editing an event more straightforward. Here are just some of the changes you can look forward to:
A New Look (tabs)
Default Event Settings
Save time by creating default event settings. Quite often event settings are the same for many events. For example, it is always the same contact person or rep who is associated with events and your events are all in the same time zone. Now you can set basic event defaults to suit your organization so every event you add contains that information.
Multiple Images per Event
Ever want to add more than one image to your event information? Perhaps you want to include pictures of the presenters or images that show your participants what the venue looks like. Soon you will have the option to include an image carousel or multiple images to your event using the new Images tab.
Event Notification Emails Managed Right in the Event
Need to make a change to your standard event emails for the event that you are adding or editing. Soon event notification emails like the Summary and Confirmation unique to that event will be available right from the setup tab. It will be convenient to make the edits to those emails while you are thinking about it as you are setting up the event.
Brand New Sponsorship Levels
Add “Levels” to your sponsor displays like Gold, Silver, or Bronze. Set the size of images that are displayed for each of the Levels. Set the order for your sponsors to display within each level.
Event by Event Control Over Purchaser and Attendee Fields:
The enhanced events control will let you decide what information you need to collect on an event by event basis. For example, you may only want to collect First Name, Last Name, and Email Addresses for your breakfast events but you might want much more information about the attendees to your annual conference. You choose which fields to include and which fields are required simply by checking a few check boxes and choosing a few radio buttons. You also have an option to add your own “Help” text to each field if you wish.

Copy Event Items
Ever spend time setting up a series of parameters for a Single Golfer ticket only to have to repeat the process when you set up a ticket for a Two Player or Four Player ticket? Not anymore! Now you simply create the first ticket including all the parameters and then simply copy and change the name to create the new ticket item. What a time saver!
Add Images for an Event Item
Are you selling things like books or packages of forms in the Events Module? Have you ever wanted to add a picture of that item for the purchaser to see? That will be possible very soon.
Add ʺFree-Formʺ Text Parameter Fields
Need to collect information from your registrants like coupon codes or certification numbers or any other kind of organization / event specific information? The new control lets you set up those kinds of fields.
Promote Events on Social Networks Right from the Event
With one click share your events on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.
Build Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn posts right inside Membee. Automatically create links to event registration right inside your post. Quickly send notices to your members telling them when events are available for registration or, as you get closer to the event date, remind them that tickets are selling fast and they should register soon.
