Are you interested in increasing your monthly intake of new members by 7.5 times the amount that you add in a normal month? Would converting 20% of the non-members attending your events to being dues-paying, full blown members be helpful to your bottom line?
We sat down with Shaleeta Harper, the Executive Director of the Federation of BC Writers, to see how she uses Membee’s Promotions feature to achieve unprecedented new member sales results.
Below we will get into the details on using Membee’s Promotions to;
- Use a Membee Promotion to provide a promo code based incentive to join in a new member sales campaign
- Use a Membee Conditional Promotion to encourage non-members to join using a promo code if they purchase an event first
31 in 31
Shaleeta and the Federation of BC Writers recently ran a membership campaign from Aug. 15 to Sept. 15, 2016, offering a promo code for 20% off new memberships. On average, the Federation receives about 3 new members a month. When using Membee’s Promotions feature they received 31 new members in 31 days. Increasing their monthly new member sign up by 7.5 times.
“Our promotion for new members worked super well, it was so simple and easy to set up” – Shaleeta Harper

Conditional Promotion Converts 20% of Non-Member Event Attendee’s to Members
A Conditional Promotion is another option in Membee’s Promotions feature. Basically a Conditional Promotion works by automatically sending a discount code for a second time when a purchaser purchases the first item. The goal is to sell two things, not just one.
A great example of a Conditional Promo at work is what Shaleeta and the Federation of BC Writers did. They offered the non-members that attended their workshop a discount to sign up and become members. This resulted in 20% of the non-members becoming members.
If you could turn 20% of the non-members attending your events into full blown, dues paying members like Shaleeta did, would you? With Membee’s Promotions feature, this could be a reality for your organization with just a couple quick clicks.
