Phone & Postal Code Masks
Set up phone and Zip/Postal code masks at the Country level to maintain data consistency in your records. Masks are created using a series of numerals or characters and are applied to the data entered in Membee records.
Looking at the screenshot above, you can see how this particular Membee user set up three different masks. One for the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The option to set the country code (abbreviation) is also given making things even cleaner when showing up in records and member profiles.
For example, you can set the phone mask as:
- 99999-99999 = 12345-67890
- 99999-AAAAA = 12345-abcde
- ?????-????? = 341A3-45AAA
If the mask field is left blank Membee will use the System Default which is the United States.
Why Do I Need This?
When you set your data to be consistent and clean, not only will it make things more organized for you, but it will be easier for you members to navigate! Setting up these masks allow members to view their phone numbers and Zip/Postal codes in a way that is most familiar, making their profiles easier for them to read and update!
Along with making things look cleaner with the correct formatting, it makes all your members feel like a priority. If some of your members are having to adjust things themselves to fit another countries formatting they will not feel important or that the association cares about their membership.
Little adjustments like this can increase membership satisfaction and loyalty rates! So why not?!
