Flexible Customization Options in Person & Organization Directory Listings
Diving into the first installment in the series, we’re looking at a full preview of both person and organization listing. We’ll examine the powerful features common to all listings such as three image gallery layouts to choose from, building custom sections, drag & drop to reorganize sections, and displaying the listings in a single or double column layout.
Every organization handles its directory very differently – we’re here to show you the flexibility to customize your listings to best suit the needs of your membership.
Whether your membership is mostly people or mostly organizations, your Membee directory can adapt to raise the profile of your membership. Even though there are two different types of memberships, our directory provides you with the flexibility to access the same functionality and capabilities in either type so you won’t be missing out on any features.
Preview of a Person Listing
Person listings are commonly used for individual memberships that promote a person within their specialization, whether that’s artists, physicians, psychologists, etc, making it easier for your site visitors to connect directly with the person.

Preview of an Organization Listing
Organization listings are used to promote companies, families, clubs, etc. While the organization’s listing displays, contacts of the organization or family would be nestled within the listing.

Powerful Features Common to All Listings
The numerous benefits that apply to any type of listing – person or organization. Both reap the following benefits:

Display Unlimited Images With Three Image Layouts to Choose From
Listings can display images related to their service which will:
- Increase their credibility and professionalism
- Allow listers to upload an unlimited number of images
- Allow members to add or revise images from the member profile
For example, an artist displaying their artwork, a psychologist displaying their welcoming space, or a manufacturer highlighting their state of the art production facilities.
There are 3 different image layouts to choose from:
Carousel
- Navigate through photos with arrows
- Number of images indicated with number of dots
- Used to place focus on one specific image at a time in a simplistic manner

Gallery
- Navigate through photos with arrows
- Thumbnail of all images displays
- Used to show all images available without taking a large amount of real estate

Grid
- All images will display in the listing in a grid format
- Option to set listings to display in a 1 column, 2 column, or 4 column layout
- Used to heavily emphasize and showcase images

Build Custom Panels To Group Key Information
To make important details easier to find, you can group Membee’s extensive custom field capability together using custom panels. Parameters, custom fields, or categories can be grouped together in a section where you can customize the name of the new custom section.
For example, for any fields related to services, you can group one or more fields into a section named “Services” or “Other Details”, as seen below.

Drag & Drop to Prioritize the Listing Content
When site visitors are looking for your members, some information is simply more important. That’s why you can fully customize and rearrange the list sections within your directories based on what is important.
For example, if images are a high priority, then you can arrange the Image section near the top, seen in the video below.
Single or Double Column Layouts
A “one size fits all” doesn’t typically work because every website is unique. We provide the option to display a listing in two different layouts that best fits your website:
Single Column Layout
This layout is perfect when you have a narrow area or less space to work with. A great example of a website with a narrow workspace is our 3rd Membee Complete Design

Hi Tania,
The directory is nearing the end of its testing process so it will be coming soon. Your organization is following our announcements and release notes so you’ll receive an email notification we have a release date! When it’s released, you do not need to do anything to enable the new directory. There are certainly new features for you to utilize if you wish to use them 🙂
